Brian and I did it, finally add color to the inside of our house. On Saturday we started by finally picking out colors and trying them on the wall to see what we like. We decided on two different colors and off we went. We started with the ceiling and painted that white and then onto the walls. Here are some pictures of what we did and the colors are Green Tea and Summer Harvest.

In the words of......Stephanie Pearl-McPhee
5 ways that knitting is better than video games.
1. I never, ever have to take turns with my sister.
2. I decide how many points I get and for what.
3. I can do it even if the power goes out.
4. I never lose because I forgot to hit "save" before
I go do something else.
5. If my mother was to come unhinged and scream,
"I cannot stand the infernal sound of your knitting
for one more second," I could pick it up and take
it to my room.

Walk to Empower
Yesterday I did the Mother's Day Breast Cancer walk. I was very happy that the weather was better than last year. I didn't raise as much money as last year but I'm grateful for any and all that I did raise. Here is a few pictures from the walk.

Sand Lake
Last week Brian gave me a choice of either going to Sand Lake, Or or out to Belfair. It was a tough choice do I want to ride in the sand or the dirt. I picked the sand. I thought after not being on my ATV for over a year that it may be easier on my body and remembering how ride the bike. So after work on Thursday, I was lucky to have the early shift Brian had everything loaded we hopped in the truck and off we went. The weather was great on Friday. Here is some photos of Sand Lake.

On the knitting side of my life is going great. Bev and I are planning to go to Sock Summit in Portland in August. The class list just came out so we are trying to decide which classes to take. We are going to take the train down so both of us can knit all the way there. I guess I talk about Sock Summit a lot at work because at Purser meeting (flight attendants) they decided to help me out and take a small collection to help me out. So now I'm making mini socks as a thank you card some of these will be turned into key rings. Sorry no pictures of them yet, but when I get them done I will try my hardest to blog about them.

I need to cut this short shopping, knitting, and chores are calling my name.

Majestic Sock
I just finished with the Majestic sock #1 and started on #2. I received the pattern from the Wool Girl March sock club. It was the first pattern that called to me to do. I didn't use the yarn that it came with I used instead Hazel Knits in Pacific Dk. I've had a lot of compliments on the color by the flight attendants. Here is the finished sock.
Brian has been on vacation this week. He and Tom (are old neighbor) went to Moses Lake. Brian wanted to see how the truck did with pulling the trailer with the new tranny. He said that it did well. They cut the trip short due to the snow in the pass so he did not get as much riding in as he wanted. He found that there is still a few more things he wants to do to the truck. More money. Other than that, that is all that has been going on. Just work and snow mixed with rain. That is it for now. Until next time stay safe and happy.

Proud Auntie
I'm very proud of my nephew Micheal. He is an Army man. He flew out today for basic train for 5 months. He is off to Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri for Military Police. I sat with him as we waited for them to start boarding. I'm very honor to be the one to see him off. I just can't believe little Micheal is an Army man now. I did bring my camera with me and I did get a picture, like normal I'm not able to down load the picture. When I got home I went through my photos and and I found some of my favorites. Sorry Mom, so when blogger will let me down load pics again I will post them.
As for my knitting its coming along. I finished the monkey socks and I moved on to another. On the running front it has not be going well. I did a run out side and now when I try to go on the tread mill it just not the same and I can't seem to stay on it and run.
Sorry for a short blog, but I wanted to get something written before I get in any more trouble.
